Support all clerical needs in a fast-paced dermatology office.
Duties:
- Check patients in for their appointments. Verify demographics, insurances, and copayments.
- Check patients out after they see a provider. Collect copayments and schedule follow-up appointmenets. Reconcile payments at end of day and create deposit for bank.
- Answer phone and create and send tasks to appropriate person. Schedule appointments per providere protocols.
- Open and distribute mail.
- Scan paperwork into patients charts.
- Obtain prior autorizations for medications through computer applications, phone or fax. Communicate with pharmacies as needed.
- Write appeals for denied prior authorizations as needed.
- Schedule delivery of samples from pharmaceutical representatives.
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year experience in a medical setting
