The Chemical Lab Operator is responsible for performing various laboratory tests and experiments to support the research, development, and quality control of chemical products. The role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, following standard operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Chemical Lab Operator works under the supervision of chemists or other senior laboratory personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Operations:

  • Perform routine chemical tests, analyses, and experiments following established procedures and protocols.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as spectrophotometers, pH meters, chromatography systems, and other relevant instruments.
  • Prepare and handle chemical solutions and reagents for experiments.
  • Conduct sample preparation, including weighing, mixing, and labeling.
  • Record and document experimental data accurately and maintain detailed laboratory notebooks or electronic records.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

2. Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Conduct quality control tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine analysis of samples to verify product quality, purity, and composition.
  • Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in test results or product quality.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality-related issues.

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Handle chemicals and hazardous materials in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Follow established protocols for waste disposal and recycling.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures related to laboratory operations.

4. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:

  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard procedures.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and basic repairs of laboratory equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, or procurement as required.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and concise reports summarizing experimental findings and test results.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and supplies.
  • Support the review and revision of laboratory procedures and protocols as necessary.

MUST HAVE:

  • High School or Diploma in any fields, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a chemical laboratory or related environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with a range of laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording experimental data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Thai and English languages for effective communication.
