With the scope of providing the best possible quality translation services to our clients, we need a hand from a skilled DTP Specialist.
The main responsibilities of our next teammate include:
- Ensuring that the document layout is consistent with the visual identity of each project.
- Maintain the consistency, accuracy, and overall quality of presentations and documents to meet client requirements within the deadlines set by the management team.
- Producing and editing various graphics in Excel as well as creating or modifying Word, PowerPoint, and InDesign presentations and documents based on the client's instructions.
- Identifying and resolving document and file formatting issues (including fonts, visuals, graphics, charts, etc.)
- Collaborating with our linguistic team to incorporate recommended modifications.
- Producing and altering PDF documents (creating fill-in PDF forms, adding or removing watermarks, headers, and footers as well as scanning and adjusting specific text).
- Meeting tight deadlines without ever compromising the quality of your work
To be successful in this role you should have:
- DEC in Office Technology or Infographics, or other related diploma
- 3 years of relevant experience ideally in formatting and localization/translation (previous experience in translation would be a huge advantage)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat PRO
- An excellent understanding of typographical conventions, layout concepts, techniques, and various software tools and models is essential.
- Competence in the Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Being comfortable with both Mac and PC platforms
- Fluency in both English and French
- A keen eye for detail and subtleties
- Sense of responsibility and ability to prioritize tasks
- Positive and measured attitude even when working under tight deadlines.
As a part of our team, you can work fully remote or in our Montreal office. The position is full-time, with a weekly workload of 40 hours with a Mon-Fri 1 pm-9 pm EST schedule.
