Job Description
About the role:
This position leads the Vienna site’s overall manufacturing operations to ensure product supply of quality pharmaceutical products. Products include a combination of plasma-derived therapies and biologics products.
In this role you will report to the Vienna Site Head and lead a manufacturing operations team across five units and manufacturing support. The objective is to ensure that all aspects of Safety, Compliance, Quality, Production targets and Finance are being considered to optimize manufacturing performance and metrics. This will require the implementation of operational excellence and continuous improvement. In addition to role will develop and lead the manufacturing departments’ strategy.
How you will contribute:
Oversee all manufacturing operations across five units to deliver goals and metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Delivery and Finance and drive safety, sustainability and DE&I culture across the manufacturing unit
Drive organizational and individual development of Manufacturing units as well as the manufacturing support team, providing guidance and support as needed to develop a high performing team
Support the Development of the manufacturing department of Vienna Site towards a digital company by driving opportunities to digitalize and automate operations with business benefits
Work with the Manufacturing team to translate site strategy and site master plan into department objectives across all product portfolios to ensure achievement of overall business objectives, including innovative upgrades, new manufacturing lines and assets
Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing science, supply chain, DD&T, Business Excellence (BE) and others, to ensure that all manufacturing operations are aligned with company goals and objectives
Take ownership of the complete manufacturing function as well as the broader site as part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).
What you bring to Takeda:
Master's degree in science or engineering, or a related field; MBA or other additional business degree is of advantage
Extensive experience in manufacturing management, with several years in a senior leadership role including leading multiple layers of organizations
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of managers and supervisors
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices, is required
Fluency in English is a must and as a minimum conversational German required

A remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 10.100 gross per month (paid out 14x per anno) - the actual salary depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
