The Role

Location: Warsaw or Prague

The Procurement Business Partner (CEE) is responsible for working across their market/cluster with all relevant functions supporting in-market & any cross cluster initiatives in support of the delivery of market/cluster objectives through the key pillars of: Demand Management, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, strategic sourcing & category management.

It will also be line accountable for any in-country Procurement resource within the cluster. It will ensure all business objectives with the cluster are achieved, development of individuals is conducted and IMB values are ‘lived and breathed’. This will could require both physical line & virtual leadership of a team spread across the respective market/cluster.

The goal of the position is to partner with all relevant market/cluster functions in the delivery and enablement of procurement support to the market / cluster. The Procurement Business Partner (CEE) will act as the main interface for all Procurement initiatives, looking to bring solutions, suppliers, & innovation to support the market outcomes, whilst ensuring compliance to relevant policies. He/she will increase visibility and communication between Procurement, suppliers and stakeholders functions and ultimately enable 3rd party goods and services through balancing cost, quality, delivery and time to market.

The Procurement Business Partner (CEE) will oversee the management, capture and translation of demand signals into desired sourcing & service requirements - in close collaboration with the GM and the other CLT members, Realisation, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders. The scope is predominantly the market portfolio where the role actively supports the delivery of supplier & sourcing solutions in the markets where needed. The Procurement Business Partner (CEE) will be pivotal to help identify opportunities, implement key improvements and drive overall efficiency and effectiveness of 3rd party spend on goods & services in the markets/cluster.

The Procurement Business Partner (CEE) to have a strong procurement background and understand how a variety of markets work, especially in A&P, Indirect, PS & CS categories.

Key Accountabilities

  • Builds and leverages strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders across the business to turn market demand and outcomes into 3rd party goods & services through effective & efficient Procurement
  • Ensure the implementation of efficient procurement processes in close collaboration with the GM and the other CLT members, including oversight of compliant sourcing from approved suppliers
  • Lead the respective team any in country Procurement resource, ensuring delivery of business objectives
  • Represent the broader Procurement in understanding business needs and formulating recommendations
  • Ensure best value for money in sourcing through the appropriate influencing skills in the region’s business operations
  • Use the network within procurement to bring SME knowledge to support sourcing activities, leveraging above market /cluster solutions where possible to drive aggregation, scale and risk mitigation
  • Works closely with the Global Procurement team to ensure that governance and e2e S2P process excellence is achieved
  • Optimise the Procurement cost to serve through efficient sourcing and prioritisation of resource
  • Align and execute agreed initiatives with local leadership team on all 3rd party spend
  • Recommend and support all market specific cost optimization initiatives
  • Resolve any escalation issues linked with sourcing initiatives
  • Lead the personal development agenda of the function

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in Procurement leadership roles, preferably FMCG industry and with knowledge of Indirect Procurement
  • Ability to work with, and influence, senior internal stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills
  • The ability to lead virtual & remote teams
  • Sound understanding of key financial metrics used in Sales, manufacturing and Supply Chain functions
  • Driven, collaborative, focused & accountable
  • Excellent strategic & negotiation/ influencing skills
  • Able to adapt to different cultures, intercultural sensitivity
  • Fluent professional level of English (written and spoken)
