Nokia Technologies Finance team in Finland leads Nokia Technologies’ accounting and business controlling processes and activities to support Nokia’s world class licensing business. Currently our finance activities’ scope is to operate business through Finnish TECH entity plus some smaller foreign legacy entities. This team interacts closely with Nokia Technologies Business contacts and other stakeholders within Nokia group.
We are now looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team!

In this exciting and eye-opening role, you will have an opportunity to apply your accounting and analytical skills to ensure high quality bookkeeping, local tax reporting and statutory financial reporting. This role also enables you to supervise and develop Nokia Technology’s compliance and reporting. You will be responsible for the proper application of accounting and tax policies in the financial processes but also providing solid tax and SOX acumen for the whole finance team. In Nokia compliance with internal controls and SOX is always present in our work.
You are expected to have a solid understanding of financial accounting, Finnish tax and statutory reporting and to be experienced with FAS GAAP but also have strong emphasis on financial analyses. You are also familiar with SOX and internal control processes. You will work together with TECH Accounting and Business control teams and will report to Head of Business Group Accounting. Your daily tasks will include G/L accounting and period end closing activities, but also coordination in SOX, audit, and internal audit topics. Also, periodical tax and other statutory activities are in core of your responsibilities.
In this role you will have an opportunity to influence on continuous improvement work by participating in our financial processes, reporting and tools. We will also offer you a chance to be involved in many exciting projects.
Your skills and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Master of Science Degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Audit)
  • An excellent understanding of financial accounting, Finnish tax and statutory reporting, knowledge of the associated accounting standards (FAS GAAP), knowledge in SOX controls is seen as a bonus.
  • Experience in working with multiple finance tools (SAP ByD and other SAP platforms, HFM, Redbox, etc.)
  • Master knowledge of Microsoft Excel with advance functions (also other Office tools). Familiarity with BI Solutions are also seen as a bonus.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, proficient Finnish skills also considered as an advantage.
  • Analytical, active in seeking and sharing information.
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and proactively within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Detail oriented with solid planning and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and have excellent follow-up skills.
