POSITION SUMMARY :
We are currently seeking a Gas Distribution Utility Inspector for natural gas and electric utility projects in Northern California.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires thorough knowledge of all construction activities, means and methods and to ensure projects are completed in accordance with all applicable requirements, including but not limited to standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedules. Candidates should be self-starting and highly motivated, with the capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The best candidates will be detailed and organized team players with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations.
This is a project-based position focused on providing the client with the most versatile and highly motivated inspectors and contractor safety coaching for the natural gas and oil industry. As a field inspector, you will engage with client and contractor team members in the field to facilitate safe work practices, timely and accurate paperwork, client safety culture expectations, and maintain compliance with the client’s Contractor Safety Program elements and other applicable safety regulations (e.g., Cal/OSHA).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- A combination of experience in pipeline inspection, industrial construction, and pipeline construction of at least three (3) years• API 1169 Certification
Desired:
- NACE CIP Level 1
DUTIES:
- Required to perform inspection of all contractor’s duties of stub service completion on applicant-installed work including squeezing, grounding, mechanical fitting installation ½” through 1”, and purging.
- Perform Pipe-to-Soil reads in accordance with Standards use Digital Multi Meter (DMM) and Copper-Copper Sulfate Portable Reference Electrodes to actualize readings.
- Obtain and maintain required Paxon training and client specific Operator Qualifications
- Exercise Stop Work Authority if unsafe work conditions exist
