As a Circular Product Design Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting Philips’ businesses like Oral Health Care and Hospital Patient Monitoring in their sustainability ambitions through consultative projects centered on product design. This involves working closely with Philips clients to assess their medical and consumer health products’ current circular performance, identifying relevant circular economy principals and design opportunities to make products use less materials, last longer, and be used again.

Your role:You contribute to the realization of Philips’ ambitious circular design targets. You will support Philips’ ambitions by providing your sustainable and circular design related expertise to the Philips organization and beyond.
You will work in an Innovation Engineering team of 30 highly-skilled professionals in Sustainability, Supply Chain and Operations Management. At Philips Innovation Engineering, we have invested in our team of Sustainability consultants and experts who help Philips Businesses, Markets & Functions to bring sustainability to life. To achieve this, we work closely together with Philips’ central Sustainability Office, Philips Design, and Research.
You will be able to learn from and work with a world-class team of sustainability consultants, engineers, system architects, innovation management consultants, and our business model innovation experts. In our team you will have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise, as well as your consultancy and project management skills. In our team we work hybrid.

You're the right fit if you have:
A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering or related technical design field
3-5 years’ experience in product development, product architecture, design for manufacturing or similar
3-5 years’ experience working with businesses and organizations to develop complex electronic products (supporting consumables is a plus) suited for circularity.
Experience in consulting, including acquisition of new projects, diplomatic and commercial skills in customer relationship and project management.
