We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated cook to join our team at REGGAE Jerk. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for managing inventory, this position is perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory, including tracking supplies, placing orders, and ensuring stock rotation.
- Operate and maintain the BBQ equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in food preparation and plating during busy periods.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a team-oriented setting.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant in a restaurant setting.
- Basic culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining a BBQ grill.
- Knowledge of inventory management and ability to handle stock rotation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Food safety and sanitation knowledge.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
