We are looking for a Country Manager who will fulfill the key position between sales, operations, client service and marketing. You will work as a connector, facilitate cooperation and alignment between disciplines and ensure that we remain a sought-after employer for pet lovers.
What will you do?
Your role is to oversee all aspects of the business, providing insightful and strategic solutions to achieve business goals. This will include responsibility for revenue/premium sales, customer service and quality objectives. You will be engaged (along with the local team) in seeking new business opportunities to achieve business goals, negotiating and contracting national business partners and developing strong relationships with them.
What else:
- adapt and execute the international growth strategy to country specific conditions, national regulations, cultural guidelines and consumer needs.
- Develop and project strategies to meet the expectations of accelerated market growth in accordance with the P&L.
- Responsible for planning, budgeting, discounting and forecasting the German market.
- responsible for the development of our existing and foundation new brands (together with the marketing manager and the international team).
- you keep the overview and consistency and continuously evaluate the progress of sales, operations, client service and marketing on location.
- you make appropriate financial, operational and growth reports to the international team.
- work closely with the international team and advise as a local expert on the need for initiatives and actions.
- You lead the entire German team including management, a team of Account Managers and work closely with the international MT. You report directly to the international CEO.

- you have at least 5 years of relevant work experience within a digital-focused, scale-up organization, preferably D2C with responsibility for business development.
- Making changes are challenges for you and does not cause resistance. You have problem-solving skills and know how to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- you are strategic and have the heart of an executor (hands-on manager). You are able to translate strategic plans into policy.
- you are actively focused on achieving concrete (commercial) results and able to prioritize cases by distinguishing main and secondary issues. You quickly get to the heart of a concern, oversee the consequences of certain choices and make choices based on clear analyses.
- you easily build and maintain relationships and networks in a way that fits our organization and core values.
- it goes without saying that you have good communication skills in both German and English.
