The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity available with the Spectrolab Team for a Semiconductor Assembler in our Sylmar, CA facility.
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs the processes necessary for the fabrication and production of Solar Cells, including Series welding, Assembly clean and classifying of cells, Bonding cells covers and indexing,, Lot Code, electrical testing, microscope inspection and Silicon Diodes.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.
This operation works on a 9/80 schedule. A 9/80 work schedule comprises two-week periods in which employees work eight nine-hour days, one eight-hour day, and one day off.
Must be able to work any shift, overtime and holidays as required.
Candidate must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Ability to lift 20lbs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proficient in the use of Excel
- Experience using SAP
Typical Education / Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent or military/ work experience.
