Data Scientist (f/m/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Development of data-driven models (means of machine learning, statistical methods or optimization methods)
- Design, develop, implement and maintain innovative tools and dashboards to achieve our business goals
- Solve complex mathematical problems and translate the results into understandable tools/algorithms so that the business can transform theory into reality, achieving expected savings
- Support in the field of research of energy-saving potentials within unexplored areas of ships-automation data analytics and verification of savings from completed activities
- Support the decarbonization unit in other areas with focus on but not limited to data analytics tasks
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, Engineering or quantitative background
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of data analysis, data-science and complex problem solving.
- Proficient in Python, and familiar with data science packages (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc)
- Experience in the application and use of statistical methods and familiarity with machine learning algorithms
- Experience in mathematical optimization and modelling packages (such as Pyomo)
- Analytical and curious mindset with meticulous attention to details
- First experience in cloud environments like Azure or AWS desirable
- First experience in Qt, plotly or other means of building useful user interfaces
