As a People Development Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the GSS competence framework (GSS core and stream specific competencies). Your primary goal will be to identify the needs for GSS and specific GSS stream, develop tailored training initiatives, and create an environment where employees can thrive professionally. You will collaborate closely with the GSS People Managers and GSS Leaders. In this role you will report to the People Director and will be part of a central People team in GSS.

GSS also develops central competence for distinct services, projects and development and will support policy, procedures and system implementation on a global, regional, and local level.

People Development Consultant.
As a People Development Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the GSS competence framework (GSS core and stream specific competencies). Your primary goal will be to identify the needs for GSS and specific GSS stream, develop tailored training initiatives, and create an environment where employees can thrive professionally. You will collaborate closely with the GSS People Managers and GSS Leaders. In this role you will report to the People Director and will be part of a central People team in GSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive the GSS competence framework aligned with the GSS and DNV strategy
- Design and provide effective training programs, workshops, and learning materials, both in-person and virtually
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by promoting self-directed development and internal knowledge sharing
- Maintain relationships with external training providers
- Stay updated on the Learning and Development topics trends
- Work closely with the People Team in GSS
- Proven experience in competence development, training, or organizational development roles (experience from competence development within the shared service organization will be a great advantage)
- Knowledge and experience from using advanced adult learning strategies, push vs. pull and gamification (preferably experience from both technical and soft skills training).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess competency needs and measure training effectiveness
- Able to challenge the status quo, think ‘outside of the box’ and promote innovative ideas.
- Passionate, positive attitude, strong work ethics and high work capacity
- Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
