Role Summary:
The Precision Assembler will be responsible for preparing disassembly/assembly tasks and processing all relevant documentation. The DCI Technician will disassemble/assemble a variety of equipment using a range of manual and electrical tools and perform necessary tests. Additionally, the Precision Technician will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and assembly during any repair processes. This individual will have access to the latest materials, tools, and instrumentation in our facilities to meet these expectations and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Complete disassembly/assemblies according to blueprints, instructions, and work orders, performing tests when necessary.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of inspection equipment, their functions, and uses to ensure all parts and disassembly/assemblies meet specifications.
- Ensure all parts and components are clean before assembly and that assemblies are completed correctly, following all assembly procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
- Handle various precision measurement tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, etc., in a warehouse environment, as well as manual tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and blowtorches.
- Troubleshoot disassembly/assembly issues.
- Have a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented approach.
- Able to perform basic mathematical functions, including rate, ratio, percentage calculations, and unit conversions.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) activities as necessary and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, technical drawings, safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports, assessment reports, and communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and customers.
- Exhibit a customer service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
- Basic computer proficiency to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office package.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed and on short notice.
- Demonstrate behavior that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:
- Mechanical Technician or at least 5 years of experience in repair and industrial machining processes in established production plants.
- Reading and interpretation of blueprints.
- Computer skills: intermediate level.
- Knowledge of dimensional analysis, metrology, and industrial manufacturing.
- Quality control and component dispatch.
- Ability to perform repair processes for centrifugal pumps: mechanical assemblies, inspection, evaluation, and dimensional control of components.
Preferred Skills:
- Desirable Class D driver's license (for forklift operation).
- Desirable knowledge of disassembly, repair, and assembly of centrifugal pumps.
