Job Position: HSE Officer
Job Location: Ikene, Ogun
Job Description
- Provide and manage consistent high-quality HSE development work and services for Safety relating to onsite safe systems of work and to Technical Integrity.
- Take the lead in implementing the Zero Tolerance Must Win on Work Site Hazard Management improvement requirements.
- Monitor, review, and report HSE performance including main contractors and subcontractors to achieve the performance commitments.
- Drive to achieve ISO 14001 certification.
- Drive compliance with Matrix Energy Group Policies, standards, and procedures; local and HSE regulations.
- Drive to achieve the development of HSE Case for Bluefin Depot.
- World-class planning, execution, and delivery of the depot's technical and managerial Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects, including overall coordination of the HSE program and the drive to reach our goal of zero HSE Incidents.
Requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or any related course.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Good understanding of the business risks. Able to develop and implement downstream & Industry policies, strategies, and standards.
- Good understanding of the Process Safety Management
- Possess certification in NEBOSH.
- A seasoned HSE Professional with broad experience with the downstream sector, experience with HSE risk aspects of Oil and Gas, and/or management experience within the Oil & Gas environment.
- Good MS Office skills particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
