Duties

The Commercial Assistant/Budget Analyst is a hybrid position that requires the employee to fulfill financial and administrative management duties as well as to engage in commercial promotion activities for the remainder of their time.


As a Commercial Assistant, provides trade facilitation support for commercial activities. Assists in the promotion of trade fairs (local, regional and in the United States) events, trade missions, and other export promotion activities. Provides support for business matchmaking programs and conducts initial basic market research to fulfill trade information requests from U.S. exporters and host-country importers. As a Budget Analyst, performs a wide range of financial management responsibilities including obligations, liquidations, and reconciliation for USFCS program at post in collaboration with FCS regional office.


Is responsible for the preparation or provision of Post input for all prescribed and requested financial reports and inquiries. Manages day-to-day administrative activities including business appointments, coordinating communications with other sections at post, interfacing with local government officials and private sector.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in business, government, or industry association in the field of administrative management, with emphasis on budget, accounting, program management or event management is required.


Education Requirements:


  • Successful completion of at least two (2) years of full-time post-secondary study at college or university is required.


Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:


  • English (Fluent) in speaking/reading/writing is required.
  • German (Fluent) in speaking/reading/writing is required.


This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Must have a valid current driving license. Must have had a valid driver's license for a minimum of five (5) years.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
